It was introduced to standardize the quality of law education admissions.
The HEC typically conducts the Law Admission Test 3 to 4 times a year. The tests are usually scheduled in January, April, July, and October. Candidates may appear in any test session, and the score remains valid for admission in the current academic year.
The minimum passing score for the Law Admission Test is 50 out of 100 marks. Candidates who score 60 or above are eligible to apply for LLB admission at any HEC-recognized university. Scoring higher significantly improves your chances of getting into top-tier law schools.
All HEC-recognized universities offering LLB (4-year) programs accept LAT scores. This includes University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam University, University of Karachi, International Islamic University Islamabad, LUMS, GC University Lahore, and over 30 other institutions nationwide.
